These terms cover how you can use Car Upholstery Cost. By browsing the site or running any of our calculators, you are agreeing to them. If something here does not sit right with you, please do not use the site.

What we do here

Car Upholstery Cost is an independent pricing reference. We write cost guides and build calculators that give you estimated price ranges for car upholstery work, things like full reupholstery, seat repairs, headliner replacement, leather work and interior cleaning.

Everything here is general information to help you plan and budget. We are not an upholstery shop. We do not do the work, and we do not arrange it or oversee it for you. Using the site does not make us your advisor, and it does not create a contract between us.

Our estimates are not quotes

This is the big one, so we will be blunt about it. What our calculators give you is a modeled range. It is not an offer, it is not a bid, and no shop has agreed to honor it. Only a licensed shop that has looked at your actual car can give you a real quote.

We build our figures by taking published labor and material cost data and applying it to the options you pick. How accurate that is depends on where you are. For the United States we work from published wage data. For the UK, Australia, Canada and India we scale from broader regional pay figures, because nobody publishes rates specific to upholsterers in those markets. Where a number is an estimate rather than a measured rate, we say so on the page itself. Please treat every result as a planning range and nothing firmer.

Real prices move around for reasons no calculator can see. Your interior might be hiding damage that only turns up once it is stripped. Foam or frames may need repair. Materials go in and out of stock, some trim is fiddly to work with, and a busy shop charges differently from a quiet one. Figures are in US dollars unless a page says otherwise, and they do not include sales tax, VAT or GST unless we have said so. Get written quotes from a couple of shops before you commit to anything.

Using our content

You are welcome to use the site for your own planning, whether that is personal or for your business. You can quote our figures or cite them, as long as you credit us and link back.

What we would ask you not to do: scrape or bulk download the site, copy our content or calculators and pass them off as your own, use our data to build a rival pricing tool, or do anything that interferes with how the site runs.

Who owns what

The writing, calculators, pricing models and design on this site belong to us or to the people who license them to us, and they are protected by copyright. Vehicle makes, model names and product names belong to their owners. We only mention them so you know what an estimate applies to. It does not mean those companies are connected to us or endorse us.

Links and ads

We link out to other websites, and we show ads served by other companies. We do not control any of that, and we cannot vouch for those sites, the businesses behind them, or anything you buy from them. What we cannot promise

The site and everything on it comes as is, with no warranties of any kind, either stated or implied. That includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We cannot promise the site will always be available or free of errors, that the data behind our estimates is fully current or complete, or that any estimate will match what a shop actually charges you.

Where our responsibility ends

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, business losses or the cost of going elsewhere, arising from your use of this site or from relying on anything published here. That includes any gap between an estimate on this site and the price you are eventually quoted or charged. Some places do not allow every one of these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes

We update our pricing models, data sources and content regularly, so estimates can change without warning. We may update these terms too. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after that, you are accepting the new version.
